Adding money to your wallet
Top up by card, bank app or transfer, and what to do if it is still clearing.
How to add money
- 1Open your wallet and tap Add money.
- 2Type the amount and continue.
- 3Our payment partner's secure checkout opens. Pay with your card, your bank app, or a transfer.
- 4When the payment is confirmed, your balance moves and you get a credit alert by email.
Rainpay never sees your card details — our payment partner handles the payment.
If a top-up is still clearing
Sometimes a payment is confirmed by the bank before our partner reports it. Your wallet shows a "Payments still clearing" box with an "I have paid — check now" button, and it also re-checks by itself. Nothing is lost: once the partner confirms, the money lands and you get the alert.
I paid but my balance has not moved
Tap "I have paid — check now" on your wallet. If it still says clearing after 30 minutes, send us the amount and time from your bank alert at support@rainpay.ng and we will trace it with the partner.
Was I charged twice?
Each top-up is a separate payment page and is credited once. If your bank shows two debits, contact support with both references and any extra amount is returned.
