Rainpay features

Free transfers on Rainpay

Send from one Rainpay wallet to another for ₦0. Free wallet transfers do not mean every bank transfer, deposit or card payment is free.

Always free: Rainpay wallet to Rainpay wallet

  • Send to another Rainpay customer inside Rainpay using their wallet details. Rainpay charges no transfer fee.
  • Sending to an external bank account number is a bank transfer, not a free wallet-to-wallet transfer — even when the recipient uses another money app.

Personal bank transfers: ₦107.50

  • Sending naira from your personal wallet to a Nigerian bank or external wallet costs ₦100 plus ₦7.50 VAT: ₦107.50 in total, added to the amount you send.
  • This includes sending to bank account numbers at OPay, PalmPay and other institutions. Check the charge before confirming.

Promotions are separate

  • The 3 Freedom Transfers offer was an October 1 promotion for verified customers, subject to activation and available slots. It is not an everyday entitlement and is not a current free-bank-transfer promise.
  • If a new offer applies to you, the confirmation screen shows the waiver. Do not assume an old campaign still applies.

Other charges still apply

  • Adding money through a virtual bank account or checkout can carry funding charges. Dollar cards, international transfers and currency conversion have separate pricing.
  • A free wallet transfer does not remove your mobile network's USSD, SMS or call charges.
