How to create your Rainpay account
Sign up, confirm your email, set your details and land in your wallet.
Step by step
- 1Open Rainpay and choose Create account.
- 2Enter your email address and a password you have not used elsewhere.
- 3Open the mail we send you and confirm your address.
- 4Sign in. We send a 6-digit code to your email to confirm it is really you.
- 5Add your full name and pick a @username — this is how friends find you for free transfers.
- 6Complete verification so you can move money (see Verification & limits).
Use a name that matches your ID exactly. Verification compares what you type with the records held against your BVN or NIN.
I did not get the confirmation mail
Check your spam or promotions folder and search for rainpay. If it is not there after a few minutes, try signing in again to trigger a new mail, or write to support@rainpay.ng.
Can I change my username later?
Yes. Open your profile from the account menu and edit it. Usernames are unique, so a name someone already took will be refused.
Rainpay is a financial technology company and is not a bank. Banking, payment and deposit services are provided by licensed financial institutions and licensed payment service providers regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria, currently Beamer Microfinance Bank, Platnova and Red Biller Technologies.
